The Coffee Project cafe owned by Manuel Villar Jr. has several branches across Manila and has recently opened a new branch in the city of Bacolod. Aside from their breakfast and pasta menu, they also offer a variety of sandwiches, coffee and non-coffee based drinks & frappes as well as pastries and desserts. We have seen a lot of people come to hang out at their place despite of their secluded location and we foresee them gaining a generous amount of followers soon due to their instagrammable interior. It comes as no surprise to learn that it was actually chosen as one of the most photogenic cafe’s in the world because of their design that features many artificial pots of plants and collection of books placed in decorative partitions that provides privacy between tables. The modern chandeliers and warm lights create a relaxing and cozy ambiance and there are distinct old bikes painted and mounted on the walls, wooden panels, framed inspirational quotes and touches of green in almost every corner which personally gives us an Alice in Wonderland vibes.
For our visit, we tried their Continental Breakfast and Beef Tapa for lunch with Berry & Pomegranate Green Tea and Green Apple & Cucumber Slush for our drinks.
The food is good although not that exceptional and the drinks refreshing. What we liked most about the place is the convenience of reading a book or doing your work while having your favorite drink or food. They provide free wifi to their customers so you will find a few young people working on their laptops while having their cup of coffee inside and we also took notice of the outlet plugs provided near every table, talk about having a well thought-out set up. We also give credit to the cleanliness of their comfort rooms and lavatory which we are very particular with when visiting any food establishment.
